Journey From Guwahati to Macchiwara

:Life is a Journey , we all say and know this , but few days ago I came across a book named  “Guwahati to Macchiwara ” ,

written by our friend Mr. Rajiv Bakshi which proven the meaning of the phrase.

The title of the book attracted me so much, I felt like a journey of self-connection .

I have lived a similar journey so far , the journey begins from Guwahati, (being my motherland ) to Delhi Via Shillong . So the thought not only enlightened my eyes, but made my mind active . Bug of Curiosity biting to know how the book tastes ,  what has he shared in the book ? But has to wait till it arrives.

One day I was visiting The Oxford Bookstore , C.P. , Delhi ,. I saw the book there and in no minute the copy was mine . It is a compilation of short stories very well written. A collection of experiences started from the Punjab and Sindh Bank , the experience is compiled in small wonderful stories .

What an amazing book! It is beautifully written and expressed in very  simple language, any Layman can understand without losing interest .  I simply loved and admired every page, every sentence, and every word , and the pictures  , still swooning over few stories. I have fallen in love with the pictures and stories written idyllically and narrated well . The stories take us down the memory lane in 90ies reminding us of Nokia mobile handset 3310, the Kahani Ghar Ghar ki  stories, 🙂 and the pictures of the Hills of Guwahati ,which is not visible today as the city turned into concrete Jungle .

The marvelous work from author’s pen is a treat for the mind and joy for the eyes , wish  him all the very best and success. :):)
